Introduction
Recognition has been emphasized in the statement of the second step of the revolution. The purpose of this research is to identify and determine the priority of succession categories in government organizations according to the statement of the second step of the revolution. The place of research is the Iranian Statistics Center and the deputy departments of statistics and information in the management and planning organization of the provinces as the statistical system of Iran.
Purpose
The purpose of this research is Identifying and ranking the categories of succession based on the statement of the second step of the Islamic revolution.
Methodology
this research is mixed (quantitative-qualitative) with an inductive approach. The statistical population in the qualitative section consisted of 18 university experts who are proficient in the subject, and the quantitative section included 114 managers and experts from the Iranian Statistics Center and the deputy statistics and information departments in the management and planning organization of the provinces. In order to collect data, in the qualitative section The technique of interviewing and data coding, categories, and in the quantitative part of the questionnaire, analysis and statistical tests were used. Friedman's test was also used to prioritize the categories.
Findings and conclusions
The findings show that succession planning based on the categories of the statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution has six dimensions, which include competencies, talent acquisition, education and development of the chosen successor, sustainability and strategic alignment, succession information bank, succession selection. and the category of competencies is the most important factor in the success of the implementation of the succession system.
