Abstract

The aim of this study is to design a model of ethical decision-making in organizations based on the perspective of Allameh Tabataba’i, with a focus on his exegesis Al‑Mizan. This research adopts a qualitative approach and employs the thematic analysis strategy. To this end, propositions related to ethics and decision-making in Tafsir al‑Mizan were examined and, after coding, were organized into a thematic network.

The findings indicate that, from Allameh Tabataba’i’s perspective, the model of ethical decision-making has a multi-level structure consisting of three dimensions: individual, relational, and organizational. At the individual level, components such as practical rationality, self-awareness, and responsibility are emphasized. At the relational level, justice-orientation and moderation are highlighted. At the organizational level, norm-setting and institutionalization mechanisms constitute the main pillars of the model.

The results of the thematic network analysis show that ethical decision-making in Allameh Tabataba’i’s intellectual framework is a process whose quality depends on the interconnection between the moral formation of the decision-maker, justice in social relations, and reinforcing organizational mechanisms. This model can provide a coherent framework for redesigning managerial and educational systems based on a monotheistic ethical approach.
