Abstract

This study aimed to develop a model of organizational effectiveness based on Jihadi management among elementary school principals in Iran. The mixed-methods research was conducted in two phases: in the qualitative phase, using the Delphi method and three-stage coding (open, axial, selective), semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 educational experts who were purposively sampled, and data analysis was performed using MAXQDA software. In the quantitative phase, a researcher-made questionnaire consisting of 24 items, designed based on eight exploratory components identified in the qualitative phase, was administered to 178 principals selected through simple random sampling, and data were analyzed using SPSS and R software. Findings from the qualitative phase indicated the presence of eight main components in the initial model: Jihadi leadership, transformational guidance, religious and ethical commitment, organizational effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, accountability, innovation and creativity, and continuous learning. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses confirmed the factorial structure of the model with acceptable fit indices including χ2/df=2.48, RMSEA = 0.061, CFI = 0.93, and GFI = 0.90. All factor loadings were above 0.5 and significance levels were p<0.001, indicating acceptable reliability and convergent validity. Therefore, it can be concluded that the main components of Jihadi management, encompassing Jihadi leadership, transformational guidance, religious and ethical commitment, organizational effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, accountability, innovation and creativity, and continuous learning, significantly enhance the organizational effectiveness of schools. Moreover, the study showed that the status of elementary school principals in Ardabil province regarding these components was at an acceptable level (p<0.05),
